This recording is an historical account of the formation and long success of the Shotts Pipe Band.

Each track is narrated and tells the history of each era of the most successful pipe band in history and also the modern era.

During the recording we hear tracks from the band during most of its decades in existence and also excerts from the great Alex Duthart and MacAllisters.

There is also narration from the current leaders of the Shotts, Robert Mathieson & Jim Kilpatrick.

This is a really interesting compilation and gives a unique insight into the institution of this great pipe band.
