The Calling
Manawatu Scottish Society Pipe Band
This is the first recording by this up and coming band from New Zealand. Under the leadership of the McKenzie brothers Stewart and Fraser, the band has won a few consecutive New Zealand Championships and also managed to qualify for the final of the World Championships in 2003.
The band bring a unique style of music to the World scene with some great sets of tunes, solos and a nice rendition of 'The Gael', the theme from Last of the Mohicans.
Hopefully a sign of more to come from the Manawatu Scottish Society Pipe Band.
