Flap Valve
The Flap Valve is basically the same as the original flap valve that used to commonly be made from a soft piece of leather from an old shoe or boot tongue.
The Flap Valve is made from a small orange rubber disc and press fit on to a copper strip. The Flap Valve is hemped onto the blowpipe and can be adjusted slightly by bending the copper strip until the flap sits perfectly flat on the blowpipe.
