The Pipers Plaid Brooch
The Pipers Plaid Brooch (211) is derived from the Scottish Targe and is available with a stone to match the Highland Dirk. The targe or target was the shield used in battle; usually of wood and leather, elaborately tooled and ornamented, often with a central boss furnished with an iron spike-ours are more "user friendly"! The Celtec Plaid Brooches (186, 187, 188 & 189) feature Endless Celtic Interlacing.
